RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

MEGA – Melvill Equipment Group Africa Pty Ltd, does not offer returns or refunds on any of our products, including spare parts, once a sale has been made, regardless of whether the goods have been delivered to the client or not.

As per the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) there is no general right of law that allows the purchaser to return products, simply because the client has had a change of heart. However, in terms of section 16 of the CPA, if a consumer has bought goods as a result of direct marketing, then for a period of 5 days after receiving the goods, the consumer can:

  • return the goods,
  • cancel the entire contract without penalty, and
  • receive a full refund.

The consumer however, will have to prove that the goods were purchased as a result of Direct Marketing and not by contacting us directly, via phone, e-mail enquiry or a walk-in to one of our offices.

We can offer an exchange to the same value, for any other equipment or parts bought from us. To be eligible for an exchange, the equipment or parts must be unused, they must be in its original packaging and also in the same condition that it was received. To complete your exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

You will be responsible for paying for your own delivery costs for returning your item. Delivery costs are non-refundable and we recommend that you take insurance out on the returning item/s.
